Bermuda – Outdoor Activities

Railway Trail National Park As you hike or bike this 18 mile trail, you will see beautiful views and natural scenery. The trail is broken into 9 parts ranging from 1 mile to 3.75 miles allowing you to start and stop at different points. The trail goes across the entire island from end to end.

Cooper Island Nature Reserve Until 1995, this area was occupied by the US Marine. After this time, it became open to the public. Take a walk along the boardwalk to the saltwater marsh or go to the Clearwater Beach in Annie’s Bay.

Spittal Pond Nature Reserve Located in Smith’s Parish, the 64 acres is a great place for bird watchers, especially in January when there could be up to 500 species of birds migrating. There are also beautiful lime rock formations to see coastal views. This is where you may see humpback whales in March and April.

Aside from the nature reserves, there are many outdoor adventures to be had.

Try a water sport like hydrobikes to cycle your way through waves, yoga on a paddleboard, see what it is like to float on the water with a flyboard, or try kayaking in clear bottom boats.
