Passport and Visa
Canadians need a valid passport for at least 45 days beyond your expected departure date. A Tourist Visa or a Business Visa are not required.
Health Concerns
You should be up-to-date with your vaccinations. Be aware of yellow fever which is caused by a flavivirus from the bite of an infected mosquito. Also, be aware that in some areas of the Caribbean, mosquitoes also may carry chikungunya and dengue fever. No proof of vaccinations are required to enter the country.
Safety and Crime
Bermuda is a generally a very safe place with a relatively low crime rate.
Do watch your purse and belongings as there is theft and purse snatching in public areas, transit and tourist areas. Avoid deserted beaches or less populated areas alone after dark.
Drinking in public is prohibited and possession of illegal drugs are considered a serious crime and penalties are strict.
In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1, the same as in Canada. The Canadian Consulate is in St Georges.
Weather
Most people travel from May to October to enjoy the warmer weather and beautiful beaches. It is the opposite tourism season than the rest of the Caribbean. Summer temperatures have highs from 23 to 29 degrees Celsius with water temperatures up to 28 degrees Celsius. It can be very humid in late July and August. Due to being further north in the Caribbean, it does get cooler in the winter time. Expect temperatures from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius from mid-December to late March with water temperatures only 19 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Bermuda does have tropical storms and a hurricane season. While officially hurricane season is mid-May to end of December, most storms, if any occur, closer to September to late November as it is occurs in most of the Caribbean.

Time Zone
Bermuda is in Atlantic Standard Time Zone and does follow Daylight Savings Time. They are 1 hour ahead of Ontario time.
